Group Info

dA-Libertarians is, naturally, a group for Libertarian Artists.

We are a worldwide group as is the Libertarian movement. A Libertarian Party can be found in most countries throughout the world these days.

So what is a Libertarian? And how do you know if you're one?

Well, there are several ways to find out!

· Here's the definition: Lib·er·tar·i·an (adj) One who advocates maximum individual rights and minimizing the role of the state; One who believes in free will

If that sounds like you than you are probably a Libertarian even if you don't know it yet!

Still unsure? Here are three more ways to find out:

· You can take The World's Smallest Political Quiz here: www.theadvocates.org/quiz
· You can take the Nolan Chart Survey here:
www.nolanchart.com/survey-php
· You can take a look at the Libertarian Party Preamble here:
www.lp.org/platform

dA-Libertarians exists to allow us as artists to express our beliefs, ideas, and vision about America the way that we do best - artistically!

What Is A Social Justice Warrior (SJW)?
(My thoughts on the matter shall be in bold / parens)
Social justice warriors believe in an extreme left-wing ideology that combines feminism, progressivism, and political correctness into a totalitarian system that attempts to censor speech and promote fringe lifestyles while actively discriminating against men, particularly white men. They are the internet activist arm of Western progressivism that acts as a vigilante group to ensure compliance and homogeny of far left thought.
The true definition of SJW is up for debate, but most generally it has become a catch-all term that describes feminists and liberals who actively try to solve the perceived social injustices of modern society by organizing in online communities to disseminate propaganda, censor speech, and punish individuals by getting them terminated from their employment. They have also been successful at positioning themselves in the upper echelons of universities, media organizations, and tech companies.

Climate Change: obama and CO2 Don't Mix.
It is quite simple, really: Anyone who thinks the US destroying its' economy and the futures of everyone who lives there, by shutting down all CO2-producing industry and power sources for a .02-degree difference in temperatures by 2100- and that is ASSuming  that the badly flawed IPCC models were even close to correct - is probably living in Pennsylvania Dutch Country's Fantasyland.

Climate change - US Temp trend last 10 years
NOAA shows ‘the pause’ in the U.S. surface temperature record over nearly a decade
Posted on June 7, 2014 by Anthony Watts
After years of waiting, NOAA has finally made a monthly dataset on the U.S. Climate Reference Network available in a user friendly way via their recent web page upgrades. This data is from state-of-the-art ultra-reliable triple redundant weather stations placed on pristine environments. As a result, these temperature data need none of the adjustments that plague the older surface temperature networks, such as USHCN

The myth of the 97% climate change consensus
What is the origin of the false belief – constantly repeated by President Obama, the media and others – that almost all scientists agree about global warming?

Claims continue to be made that “97% of scientists agree that climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.” That’s what Secretary of State John Kerry told graduating Boston College students. It’s what President Obama said in his State of the Union address and a recent tweet.
There’s just one problem – aside from the fact that this assertion is being used to help justify policies and regulations that are closing down fossil fuel power plants and crippling our economy. The claim is completely bogus. As Heartland Institute president Joe Bast and climate scientist Roy Spencer make clear in this article, the papers used to create and perpetuate the 97% claim are seriously and fundamentally flawed. The alleged consensus simply does not exist; much less does it represent anyth

Scientists Respond to the Obama Administration’s 2014 National Climate Assessment
Posted on May 19, 2014 by Anthony Watts

The National Climate Assessment - 2014 (NCA) is a masterpiece of marketing that shows for the first time the full capabilities of the Obama Administration to spin a scientific topic as they see fit, without regard to the underlying facts. With hundreds

IPCC Alarmism VS Peer-Reviewed, Observed Research
Will Global Warming Dry Out the Earth?
by Marlo Lewis on April 1, 2014
NOTE: This article contains links to 10 peer-reviewed papers which indicate the drought situation is not what we are being told by the media.
A new climate study, “Global warming and 21st century drought,” is making waves through the blogosphere. It’s the latest in “worse than we thought” gloom and doom narratives. Authors Benjamin I. Cook and colleagues at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory find that warming will not only decrease precipitation in dry regions but also increase evaporation from soils, causing more drought than previously predicted.
So although the IPCC Working Group I report concluded that, in the 21st century, Atlantic Ocean circulation collapse is “very unlikely,” ice sheet collapse is “exceptionally unlikely,” and catastrophic release of methane from melting permafrost is “very unlikely,” we’re still on eve of des

Deviants

It should come as no surprise that a person with an (R) or (D) after one's name won the US presidency again. The political duopoly shared between the two major parties, yanked like a tug-of-war rope from left to right (and right to left) with the passing of every four to eight years, is an old familiar pattern. Either way the election was leaning, Libertarians had (and have) little to look forward to. However, lest this blog become a pit of never-ending depression, here are some positive pieces of news:
:bulletyellow:  On November 8, 2016, the Johnson/Weld ticket received over 4 million votes (an increase of +300% from 2012)

:bulletblue:  In every state and the District of Columbia, voters had the opportunity to see Johnson/Weld on the ballot

:bulletyellow:  Voters in seven states successfully passed referendums to legalize marijuana in some form (four for medical purposes and three for recreational purposes)

:bulletblue:  In Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Missouri and North Dakota, voters successfully blocked a number of proposals to raise taxes
Try to see the silver lining.
How do you feel about the future?
Were you surprised when you learned who the president-elect would be?
What can you do to promote liberty and freedom where you are?
So, what now?

I used to be able to post to this group. I have not been able to do so for a long time. Did I do something someone considered wrong?
